In partnership with Fam1st Family Foundation and Oaklandside.org, the OAL & Fam1st Multimedia Ambassadors Program provides students with media training and journalism resources to cover Oakland middle school and high school sporting events during the 2022-23 academic year. The mission of OAL Multimedia is to 1) Provide media and journalism literacy to students, 2) Pay student journalists, and 3) Fill a media void for Oakland Unified School District sports, maintaining gender equity in coverage while celebrating student athlete achievement.
